A coastal Polish city, 1966. Under the Soviet rule communism is in full bloom. Mariusz Marzeda, a beloved local opera singer with a broad repertoire, lives like a king. He attends official ceremonies, has a condo, a nice Eastern German car, and a cat... His good fortune ends, when his neighbor, Katarzyna Pietrusinska, who works as a local "geisha" destroys his life for interrupting her morning sleep. With his old friend, Russian general-major Ogorcow, whose wife ran off to West Berlin with a lover, Marzeda plans his revenge on women. The Third World War is only a hair away...
